Jared,

Sounds like the Axis2/C developers are in agreement with your approach (They mention you by name). Take a look at this link: https://issues.apache.org/jira/browse/AXIS2C-1040?page=com.atlassian.jira.plugin

Apologies if you are already in the loop. I am in need of a static library as well and started looking at the mail lists to see if anyone was working on it.

Please let me know if I can help.

Sounds like great work! I'm actually in a similar situation and wanted to take a look at the source code you provide; however, it appears that I need a username/password to download the source code.

Also, from the discussion that I found online it looks like the AXIS2_STATIC_DEPLOY preprocessor made it into the Axis2/C 1.1 release for the http-sender and tcp-sender. Is this all that is required to get the static deployment working or was the work not completed? There seems little to no documentation on the matter on the Axis2/C website. Also, any type of example you have on this subject would be very helpful :)

Any further comments or documents that you may have and are willing to share with the community would be greatly appreciated!
