Gall’s Law

Gall’s Law:

A complex system that works is invariably found to have evolved from a simple system that worked. The inverse proposition also appears to be true: A complex system designed from scratch never works and cannot be made to work. You have to start over, beginning with a working simple system.

As I read the information on Gall’s Law, I related it to two things. When I used to sew having an example to follow made the job easier with a better end result. When I have changed job assignments in my career as a teacher, being able to follow the example, pattern, of a trusted co-worker also made the switch easier and the students’ learning more successful. Thanks for blogging about Gall’s Law. Happy Easter!
